The NEW M2p.59xx series are Spectrum's latest release in their modular series. Being modular means that there is a wide choice of signal capture speeds available, with models providing 20, 40 and 80 mega samples per second A/D converters, all with high resolution (16 bit) performance. The card interface to the computer is x4-lane PCI express interface providing transfer speeds up to 600MBytes per second. This allows real time streaming to the computer without data bandwidth restriction for most versions of the M2p.59xx and where the fastest cards exceed this the deep 1 Gbyte on board memory, fitted as standard, still provides plenty of storage space.

The M2p.59xx uses a compact half-length PCI-express card length (168 x 107mm). This allows it to fit into a computer case of virtually any size. Although compact, these cards are highly versatile and feature rich. Each channel has a separate ADC and a fully individual programmable input amplifier with ranges between 200 mV and 10 V, with input offset for unipolar measurements. Models are available with up to 8 single-ended channels, easily switched via a software setting to provide up to 4 differential channels. All channels operate in perfect synchronisation. An integrated calibration circuit, excellent dynamic performance and ultra low internal noise all work together to provide precision results.

Up to 16 cards can be synchronised to expand the number of channels in one system, for more information see the Star Hub option below. Extensive support for programming includes Visual C++, Borland C++, Gnu C++, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Visual Basic, VB.NET, C#, J# and Delphi code.

For applications where the M2i.49xx series has been used before we recommend the newer M2p.59xx series. As the same card driver is used, existing customers will also have an easy upgrade path.
